Sunday, April 26, is being observed as World Intellectual Property Day.

To this end, the Corporate Affairs and Intellectual Property Office will host an open day tomorrow, Friday, April 24, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at its Baobab Tower, Warrens, office.

The Open Day is part of ongoing efforts to increase public awareness about Intellectual Property Rights and the importance of respecting those rights.

This year, approximately 30 students from the Lester Vaughan School and Sharon Primary School will tour the Intellectual Property Office, and several small business owners will display their products and services in the front area of the building???s car park.

Additionally, the outreach programme scheduled for Saturday, April 25, in Heroes??? Square, the City, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., will no longer take place.??World Intellectual Property Day is an annual celebration to promote discussion on the role of intellectual property by encouraging innovation and creativity.
