As part of celebrations to mark World Intellectual Property Day on Tuesday, April 26, the Corporate Affairs and Intellectual Property Office (CAIPO) will stage an open day at its Headquarters on Belmont Road, St. Michael, starting at 10:30 a.m.

Activities will run until 3:30 p.m. and have been designed to educate the general public and students about the nature and value of intellectual property rights.?? There will be a range of events, including presentations, informational booths, sampling of local brands and the opportunity to meet some of our local artistes.??

The theme is Designing the Future and the day will begin with a welcome by CAIPO representatives and will be followed by a number of short presentations to primary and secondary school students.

Persons are also invited to visit the intellectual property clinic, which will be facilitated by CAIPO, the Copyright Society of Composers, Authors & Publishers Incorporated and the Barbados Copyright Agency Incorporated. ??The clinic will begin at 1:45 p.m.

Members of the public are invited to come and learn more about the interests of creators and property rights.
