As part of the activities to celebrate National Youth Week, the Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme (YES) will host a Youth Enterprise Expo, on Saturday, October 3, at Sky Mall, Haggatt Hall, St. Michael, from 10.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m.

Acting Manager of YES, Ryan Moseley, noted that the Expo will afford young entrepreneurs and entertainers the opportunity “to showcase their talent, creativity and innovation as well as earn additional income, as they present their business offerings, both products and services, to a wide and varied Barbadian audience”.

Mr. Moseley explained that the Expo is expected to have over 30 booths, which will comprise jewellery, craft, services, electronics, beauty and skin care, leather craft and food and beverage. Participants in the Barbados Entrepreneurship Fund $20 Challenge will also be present at the Expo.

Persons will also be able to view mounted exhibits of the work of departments within the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment, as well as other strategic business support organisations such as, the Youth Mainstreaming Programme (YPM), Youth Development Programme (YDP) and the Community Development Department (CDD).

In addition, youth centred agencies, including the Barbados Youth Development Council, will have an opportunity to display their services. The public is invited to come out and support young entrepreneurs.
