Members of the Barbados National Youth Parliament got a chance to tour Parliament on July 15th 2022, ahead of their ‘Mock Parliamentary Debate’ scheduled for Thursday, July 21st, 2022, at 10:00 a.m.
The tour provided the Youth Parliamentarians with the opportunity to expand their knowledge on the Parliament of Barbados and the processes used in parliamentary debates.
The July 21st youth debate will see 16 Government members and 13 Opposition members present their positions on a National Action Plan on Violence. It is expected that Barbadians will also hear proposed measures to reduce violence in communities, schools and homes during the debate.
