Those Barbadians, who are interested in learning about the basics of gardening, are invited to sign up for ???The Square Foot Gardening Course’, which is scheduled to start later this month.
Organised by the Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA), in association with the United Nations Development Programme and the Ministry of Agriculture, it will be held every Monday from February 21, until May 9, 2011.
The 12-week course will take place at the YWCA Training Centre, Farm Road, Deacons, St. Michael, and it is designed to teach participants how to cultivate organic produce, sow and transplant, and garden with limited space, among other skills.
