The stage is set for this year’s Spirit of the Nation show which is scheduled for next month at the Garfield Sobers Complex.

The Final Parish Zonal Show, which was held last weekend at the Grantley Adams Memorial School, saw four more performers move on to the finals which will take place on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at the Garfield Sobers Sports Complex at 6:00 p.m.

Representing St. Thomas will be the Rhema Dancers of Thankful Family Church who won with a dance rendition entitled "Lord You are Holy", while Ryan Leach was the winner for St. John with a unique form of martial arts entertainment.

Alva Hope will ‘fly the flag’ for St. Joseph with her dramatic piece "Granny Evolution" while the St. Judes Brownies Unit of St. George rounded up the finalists with their winning dance number.

They join Jermaine Gittens from St. Philip; Andre Belle of St. Michael; Kimesha King of Christ Church; the musical group ‘C Plus’ from St. Lucy; the St. Andrew’s Primary School; Answar Gaskin of St. James; and Shavonne Dottin and students of the Gordon Greenidge Primary School, from St. Peter.

Popular entertainer, Edwin Yearwood will be the guest performer at this year’s event.
