As part of its activities to commemorate its 50th anniversary, the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) is hosting a slogan competition.

The competition aims to raise awareness and sensitise nationals of the Community on the role, importance and achievements of the Caribbean Community in the regional integration development agenda over the past 50 years. It also aims to raise interest and actively engage nationals in the celebration of the Caribbean Community’s Anniversary in a manner that encourages creativity, innovation and learning, while fostering and infusing the CARICOM identity and spirit of community and unity.

The slogan should uniquely communicate the CARICOM identity and spirit; reflect the lived experiences of a national of the Community; and evoke pride in the achievement of the Community over the past 50 years, as well as build excitement for CARICOM’s next 50 years.

The slogan should be simple, original and credible: no more than eight words written by the entrant and be believable.  The slogan submitted must be unpublished and exclusively created for this competition.

To participate in the competition, persons must be nationals of a CARICOM Member State or Associate Member as at the date of the deadline for submission of entries to the Slogan Competition.  Participants under the age of 18 must receive the consent of a parent or guardian to participate since nationals under the age of 18 are unable to enter into a contract with the Secretariat.

The entry form can be downloaded here and persons are reminded they must include their name, telephone number and email address.  Entries missing this information will not be considered. Interested persons may submit their completed, signed entry form to Barbados’ Ambassador to CARICOM  via email caricomcompetition@foreign.gov.bb, no later than Friday, September 9, 2022.
