As Barbadians continue to celebrate the significance of culture and heritage to the island’s historical development, a lecture, a concert, and an antiques’ marketplace are among the upcoming activities.

Tomorrow, Saturday, June 15, the Barbados National Trust will host its Mingle at the Mill fundraiser at the Morgan Lewis Windmill, St. Andrew, beginning at 3:00 p.m.

Our Coastal Zone: It’s History, Heritage and Management will be the topic of discussion during a free public lecture hosted by the Coastal Zone Management Unit (CZMU) on Wednesday, June 19, in the Garrison Room, Clock Tower, The Garrison, St. Michael, starting at 6:00 p.m.

The presenters will be Coastal Planner at the CZMU, Fabian Hinds, and Caribbean Maritime Historian, Dr. Geoffrey Ward.

The St. Mary’s Anglican Church Heritage Concert, featuring the best in local entertainment, comes off on Saturday, June 22, beginning at 5:30 p.m.

On Sunday, June 23, the Division of Culture, Prime Minister’s Office will stage its Bridgetown Antiques Market, at Golden Square Freedom Park, The City, starting at noon.

There will be authentic and unique Barbadian antiques on sale, a mini auction, demonstrations of caning and furniture restoration, among other activities. The full list of activities is available on the Division of Culture’s Facebook and Instagram pages
