Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Senator Maxine McClean, will deliver the opening remarks at a forum being held to mark 40 years of diplomatic relations between Barbados and the People’s Republic of China at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre, Two Mile Hill, St. Michael.

Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, Stephen Lashley, will speak at the opening ceremony of the Barbados Workers’ Union  Congress, Solidarity House, Harmony Hall, St. Michael.

Prime Minister Freundel Stuart, and China’s Ambassador to Barbados, Wang Ke, will deliver brief remarks and unveil a commemorative cover/envelope to mark 40 years of diplomatic relations between Barbados and the People’s Republic of China at a private cocktail reception in the Needham’s Ballroom, Hilton Barbados Resort.
