The Lawrence T. Gay Memorial School, at Spooners Hill, St. Michael, is inviting members of the public to its Health and Disabilities Awareness Fun Day tomorrow, Friday, March 22, which will run from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
It is being held under the theme Working Together to Build Strong Communities, and persons visiting the event will receive free blood sugar and pressure checks, peak flow testing, nutrition and mental health counselling.
There will also be breast screenings, fitness workouts, line dancing, pony rides, rock climbing and information on dental health. Free rat bait will be distributed by Environmental Health Officers, and members of the Barbados Association for the Blind & Deaf will conduct sign language demonstrations.
Additionally, healthy foods will be on sale, and there will be promotions from a number of businesses.
