Barbados Revenue Authority. (BRA)

The Barbados Revenue Authority urges the public to be aware of persons exploiting the pandemic situation to commit fraud or exploit taxpayers and customers.

Persons should be aware that impersonation scams may include fraudsters purporting to be from a legitimate agency and charging persons a fee to have their transactions expedited.

The Authority reminds the public that no persons should approach customers or taxpayers waiting in-line to offer fast-tracked service and no customer or taxpayer should accept such an offer.

No person should hold out to taxpayers or customers that they are employees of the Barbados Revenue Authority other than those so employed.

Anyone who encounters any such suspicious activity should contact the Authority at bra-taxpayeradvocacy@bra.gov.bb, or bramail@bra.gov.bb, and inform the Royal Barbados Police Force.
