The Barbados Coalition of Service Industries (BCSI) will be hosting several activities for Services Week 2022, which will be observed from October 30 to November 4.

Moving from Possibilities to Realities is the theme of the week, which will begin with a thanksgiving service on Sunday, October 30, at Hope Church, Neil’s Plantation, St. George, beginning at 9:00 a.m.

There will be an online webinar on Monday, October 31, starting at 10:30 a.m., under the theme: Renewable Energy and Green Financing. Participants will learn about the loans and grants available to businesses in the services sector, so they can invest in energy efficiency.

Presenters will be Project Officer, Project Execution Unit of the Ministry of Energy, Sherry Waithe, and Chief Energy Conservation Officer in that Ministry, William Hinds. The public may access the discussion by clicking the link: https://bit.ly/3U46FsA.

On Tuesday, November 1, there will be an Open Day at the BCSI’s Secretariat, Building #2, Suite 1A, Manor Lodge Complex, Lodge Hill, St. Michael, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  During the day, there will be a Fishbowl Series Webinar: Understanding Data Privacy, at 10:00 a.m., and the link is:  https://bit.ly/3NcTjaV. Additionally, there will be a Barbados Revenue Authority Business Facilitation Clinic at the BCSI’s Secretariat.

Mini Workshops will be held on Wednesday, November 2, at the BCSI’s Secretariat Training Room, between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Those topics are: So You Want to be a Consultant? How to Turn your Passion into Profit and Event Planning 101. To register, persons may call the BCSI at 429-5357.

The Annual General Meeting of the BCSI is on Thursday, November 3. The activities for the week will end on Friday, November 4, with a Networking Mingle.
