Signage related to the tsunami hazard will be installed in the Christ Church West community between the Garrison Savannah and Rendezvous, from Monday, May 15.
These are tsunami directional and hazard zone signs, assembly point signs, maps and informational billboards.
This forms part of the Tsunami Ready Recognition Programme being undertaken by that community, and is in keeping with the targets set out to fulfill the recognition criteria.
The activity is being spearheaded by the Department of Emergency Management and the Coastal Zone Management Unit. Members of the public are asked to cooperate as installation teams work to erect the signs.
