The Barbados Fire Service (BFS) Association will host a free ‘Family Fun Day’ this Saturday, September 2, at the Dover Playing Field, Dover, Christ Church, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
President of the BFS Association, Corey Bridgeman, explained that the event is a day for officers and their families to socialise: “It will also serve as a means of preparing for the Caribbean Fire Fighter Regional Games, to be held next year in April 2024.”
Activities for the ‘Family Fun Day’ will include the three-legged race, sack race, egg and spoon race, ‘consume it’, dog and bone game, cricket, football and dominoes. There will also be 100, 200, 400 and 800 metre races, as well as novelty games.
The BFS is advising persons who wish to participate in the novelty games, which will include the use of water, to bring a change of clothing.
Food and drinks will be on sale and there will be entertainment. The public is invited to come out and enjoy a fun-filled day with the BFS Association.
