The Barbados Meteorological Services (MET Office) is conducting a Severe Thunderstorm survey to identify gaps that may exist in communicating the alert messages to residents.

Members of the public are therefore encouraged to visit the MET Office’s website at www.barbadosweather.org, or the social media pages of the Barbados Government Information Service to fill out the survey.

This comes following the weather event that affected Barbados on Monday, October 2, after which persons complained about not receiving notifications regarding the watches and warnings issued by the MET Office.

The survey is designed to allow the agency to improve its Multi-Hazard Early Warning System, and ensure that the public receives its messages.
