As part of a recruitment drive to provide opportunities for Barbadians to work remotely, the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Third Sector will host a workshop next week.

It will be held on Tuesday, December 5, at the Warrens Office Complex, Warrens, St. Michael, from 9:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

A collaborative effort with Startwise, the workshop targets persons in search of a global job but who do not wish to leave Barbados. It will not only help Barbadians access remote work but also provide them with opportunities to explore career paths and build skills that are currently in demand.

Persons will also learn more about Startwise’s remote work specialisation programs, set to launch in January 2024. Facilitators for the session will include Director of Programs, Michael Rosenberg and Director of Operations, Celeste Foster.

Interested persons must attend the workshop with an electronic device such as a laptop, tablet or mobile phone.  To join the in-person workshop at Warrens, interested persons should Click here to learn more and RSVP.

For more information on the collaboration between the Ministry and Startwise, persons may access the full calendar of in-person and online events at startwise.io/workshops. For further information, individuals may also email barbados@startwise.io.
