Students ages seven to 10 are invited to depict their understanding of climate change by taking part in a poster competition being hosted by the Barbados Meteorological Services (BMS).

Under the theme On the frontlines of climate action, the poster competition will get under way from Friday, February 9, and run until Monday, March 11.

The poster size should be 11×17, and they must be hand-drawn. All submissions must have a title and include the child’s full name, class, the name of the school, and their teacher’s or parent’s contact information.

Completed posters should be delivered to the BMS office at Charnocks, Christ Church.

The winner will be announced on Monday, March 18, and prizes awarded during the World Meteorological Day Expo, on Saturday, March 23. The work of first, second, and third place winners will be displayed on all BMS social media sites.

Competition judges reserve the right to reject any poster that is deemed to be prepared by an adult. The BMS also reserves the right to use all images of artwork submitted for this competition and any photographs taken for promotional or advertising purposes.
