As part of the activities to mark the Month of the Disabled, the National Disabilities Unit (NDU) will host a book launch on Friday, March 8, at 10:00 a.m., at its headquarters, Maxwelton, Lower Collymore Rock, St. Michael. 

The launch, which also celebrates the achievements of women on International Women’s Day, will see author Janelle Corbin, a parent of a child with a disability, introducing hearing impaired children to American Sign Language (ASL), by way of her text My ASL Animal Alphabet Book.

Director of the NDU, John Hollingsworth, along with Director of the Bureau of Gender Affairs, William Warner, will deliver remarks.

Representatives of the Challenor Creative Arts and Training Centre and personnel from the Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training are expected to be in attendance.
