The Ministry of Tourism and International Transport has launched a new interactive website.

The website provides information related to the work of the Ministry, its departments and agencies, such as projects, legislation, and services offered.

According to acting Deputy Permanent Secretary, Julia Atkins-Best, “the website is in-keeping with Government’s directive to move to an e-Government platform”.

“It is intended to enhance information sharing, communication with local and international partners and promote greater citizen engagement,” Mrs. Atkins-Best said.

Some of the services which are accessible online include travel services licences, applications for permits for non-scheduled flights, and applications for tourism development concessions.

The website also facilitates the following functionalities:

  • Fillable forms which can be downloaded by users
  • Reports or links to reports
  • Links to relevant agencies
  • Information relating to the work of various departments
  • Webpage Sections that include:

About Us (general information about the Ministry), Legislation, Programmes, Publications and Statistics, About Barbados, Market Performance, Announcements (Latest updates), Contact Us Page, E-services, and EZPay.

Mrs. Best added: “This improved platform will offer an easier way to do business and will enhance our relationship with stakeholders, partners and the general public.”
