Barbados is ready to host the CARIFTA Triathlon & Aquathlon Championships this weekend on the Mighty Grynner Highway in Bridgetown.
The 6th edition of the Championships will take place from August 16-18.
A 35-member team will represent Barbados while 157 athletes from 11 other countries will participate in the games.
The countries include: Antigua & Barbuda, Aruba, Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Jamaica, Martinique, Puerto Rico, St. Kitts & Nevis and Trinidad & Tobago.
The Athlete Village will be based at Accra Beach Hotel, Rockley, Christ Church, with additional accommodations at Hilton Barbados and Rockley Golf Club.
The upcoming triathlon will have 37 officials from across the region.
