In recognition of World Food Day, on Wednesday, October 16, the National Disabilities Unit (NDU) will receive five hampers from the Service Activities Committee of the Lions Club of St. Michael.
The handover will take place at the NDU’s headquarters, Maxwelton, Collymore Rock, St. Michael, at 10:30 a.m.
Chairperson of the Committee, Rosita Drakes, will present the hampers to the team from the NDU, including its Director John Hollingsworth and Assistant Director Wayne Nurse.
The theme for World Food Day, as outlined by the Food and Agricultural Organization is Rights To Foods For A Better Life And A Better Future.
