A 5K Run, Walk & Cycle event on Sunday, May 5, will mark the official launch of the National Senior Games 2024.
The event will begin near the monument at the Mighty Grynner Highway, St. Michael, with brief remarks by Minister of People Empowerment & Elder Affairs, Kirk Humphrey.
The 5K Run & Walk gets under way at 6:00 a.m. while the cycle race will push off from 7:00 a.m. Cyclists will begin the ride by the Mighty Grynner plaque and cover a five-kilometre loop for 10 laps heading north, turning at Four Seasons’ (Paradise’s) entrance.
They will then proceed south towards the entrance to the Barbados Coast Guard and finally back to the starting line to complete a lap.
