Within a few days, Barbadians will get another opportunity to share their ideas with Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley on how to move this country forward.

The second Ideas Forum will be held on Wednesday, February 5, at the Alexandra School, Queens Street, Speightstown, St. Peter, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Persons living in St. Peter and across the country are encouraged to attend and participate in the session, which has the theme: FutureBarbados: Speightstown a Heritage, Arts and Cuisine Hub.

Moderated by Jamila Burgess, the forum will feature some of Barbados’ most creative people hailing from St. Peter, including performers Stiffy and Janine White; artist and educator, Petra Toyin Haynes; Chef Gregory Austin and businessman Larry Warren of St. Nicholas Abbey.

The forum, which is led by Prime Minister Mottley, is a monthly national conversation and vision sharing meeting, which is intended to unearth various concepts, policies and platforms that can accelerate Government’s stated goal of transforming Barbados to be the best country for its people.

The first forum was held on January 15 in St. Lucy, and over 300 people attended the session and shared their thoughts on how to reform the country in key areas, including education and agriculture.
