Four of Barbados’ leading entertainers are taking the anti-violence and ‘Peace’ message to schools across the island.

The tour, which kicked off on Monday, October 16, will see artistes Peter Ram, Philip 7, Faith Callender and Mole stopping at approximately 20 secondary schools to spread the message Peace Begins with Me: Talk it Out, Violence Solves Nothing.

It is part of the Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training’s Anti-violence campaign, which was launched on July 2, this year, under the Schools Positive Behaviour Management Programme.

Tomorrow, Thursday, October 18, there will be visits to the Daryll Jordan Secondary and Grantley Adams Memorial Schools at 8:45 a.m. and 11:45 a.m., respectively.

The next stops will be on Monday, October 22, where students at Harrison College and St. George Secondary School will receive visits from the entertainers at 8:40 a.m. and 11:55 a.m., respectively. The group will visit The St. Michael School on Tuesday, October 23, at 8:00 a.m.

Other schools included on the tour schedule are Combermere, The Alleyne School, Queen’s College, The Lodge School, The Ellerslie School, Coleridge and Parry School, St. Leonard’s Boys’ School and the Frederick Smith Secondary School.
