Effective Monday, September 16, the full suite of services offered by the Barbados Medical Council will be available fully online.

The new digital process means medical practitioners will no longer have to physically visit the Council to register or submit requests by email for the award of continuing professional education (CPE) credits.

They can simply go to the Ministry of Health and Wellness’ website at www.health.gov.bb, click on the heading ‘Councils’, select ‘Medical Council’ and click on the relevant forms or documents. Additionally, medical professionals can make payments via the EZPay+ platform by selecting the “Pay Now” link on the website to make the process more seamless.

The new online facility will be available 24 hours a day and is safe and secure. The digital interface will be continuously upgraded to make it more efficient and convenient for users.

The Ministry of Health and Wellness will host two webinars on Tuesday, September 10, and Thursday, September 12, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., on the online platform, to familiarise doctors about the new digital process.

For further information, persons may contact the Barbados Medical Council at email: medical.council@health.gov.bb or call 536-3910.
