For the next two weeks, secondary school teachers across the region will be on an exchange programme, sharing best practices and knowledge in relation to the CARICOM Single Market and Economy (CSME) to their counterparts.

Organised by the CARICOM/CSME Unit, the Secondary School Teachers’ Attachment Programme, will begin on Monday, March 6, and run until Friday, March 17.

Barbados will host one teacher from Belize and two from Dominica.  These teachers will be paired with teachers at the Springer Memorial Secondary School and at Queen’s College.

Two teachers, Marko Scantlebury of St. George Secondary and Tranette Belgrave of Alleyne School, have been identified to take part in the attachment in St Kitts & Nevis.

There will be an official virtual launch of the Secondary School Teacher Attachment Programme on March 6, at 10:00 a.m.  In attendance will be the Ambassador to the Association of Caribbean States and CARICOM, David Comissiong.

The three visiting teachers and their host teachers from Springer Memorial and Queen’s College will view the launch from the Media Resource Department (MRD) Auditorium at the Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training, Elsie Payne Complex, Constitution Road, St. Michael.
