The Barbados Postal Service (BPS) will commemorate World Post Day on Sunday, October 6, with a church service at the Ann Gill Memorial Methodist Church, Fairfield Road, Black Rock, St. Michael, starting at 9:00 a.m.

World Post Day, which falls on October 9, is the time of year when the role of post offices and postal workers in facilitating communication, commerce, and essential services, is celebrated.

It is also a day for appreciating the rapid technological advancements which have revolutionised postal services in the digital era. The theme for World Post Day 2024is “150 Years of Enabling Communication and Empowering Peoples Across Nations”.
