Barbados will be the venue for the Caribbean Examinations Council???s (CXC) official release of its May/June 2015 Results, next month.

On Friday, August 14, the island will play host to an official ceremony to announce the results of its examinations ??? CPEA, CCSLC, CVQ, CSEC and CAPE. The Results Ceremony will be held at CXC???s new headquarters, Prince Road, Pine Plantation Road, St. Michael, from 10:30 a.m.

Since 2011, CXC has worked collaboratively with countries to host the event that focuses on the trends and performance of the region.

The host country benefits as it is in the spotlight, with comparisons being made between that country???s results and the regional performance.??In 2011, Antigua and Barbuda hosted the event, while in 2012 it was held in Guyana and 2013 in St Kitts and Nevis. Last year, the event was hosted in St Vincent and the Grenadines.

Barbados??? inaugural hosting of the Results Ceremony will allow CXC the opportunity to interact closely with its stakeholders in a process which not only brings the Council closer to some of its most critical stakeholders ??? educators, policymakers, principals, teachers, CXC resource persons, students and the media ??? but which also demonstrates the Council???s accountability to the region.

Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Ronald Jones, and Registrar of CXC, Glenroy Cumberbatch, are expected to address the ceremony.

Dr. Charles Mayenga, Senior Assistant Registrar – Examinations Development and Production Division will present the results, while Senior Assistant Registrar ??? Examinations Administration and Security, Noel Stennett, will speak about examinations administration issues.
