First-timers entering colleges and universities overseas for the upcoming academic year 2017 to 2018, are invited to attend the Barbados Community College’s (BCC) pre-departure orientation on Thursday, June 29. The annual event will take place in the BCC’s Counselling and Placement Centre from 9:30 a.m.
A key aim of the orientation is to assist persons in making the transition to an institution of higher learning overseas. It will also provide prospective students with a forum to make queries and receive information.
The orientation will cover areas such as socio-cultural adjustments; coping with homesickness; living on a college budget; and safety issues.
