The emergency response skills for responders will be put to the test this coming Saturday, February 16, when the Barbados Defence Force (BDF), stages a simulation at the old Earth Station, Bath, St. John.
The event commences at 8:00 a.m. and is the culmination of the Basic Urban Search and Rescue Course which began on Monday, February 11.??
The course is designed to not only sharpen the skills of the participants drawn from the BDF, the Barbados Fire Service and the Department of Emergency, but to prepare them for their roles in the event of an emergency in urban areas.
