Success stories from Cycle 1 of the Barbados Construction Gateway Training Initiative (BCGTI) and opportunities for job attachments, will be among the topics to be discussed at an Employer Engagement Breakfast Meeting, next week, at the Radisson Aquatica Resort, Aquatic Gap, Bridgetown, St. Michael.

The event, which will be hosted by the BCGTI Steering Committee on Wednesday, September 11, will get underway at 8:00 a.m.

It will see representatives of organisations from the local building/construction, education and training, and government sectors examining these issues as well as looking at ways to strengthen collaboration between employers and training providers.

Minister of State in the Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training, Sandra Husbands, will deliver the keynote address. Minister of Education, Technological and Vocational Training, Kay McConney and the Senior Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister, Dr. William Duguid, are expected to be in attendance.
