B’s Recycling Plant remains closed to receiving metal waste, and all those who continue to leave waste at the gate of the St. Thomas facility are littering.
Minister of Home Affairs, Information and Public Affairs, Wilfred Abrahams, issued this stern warning on Friday, before touring the four-acre facility to get a progress report on work done to remove waste that was piled over 70-feet high.
“On the outside of the gate, there are remnants of a fridge and stove. People continue to drop off their stuff there. That is an offence. This site is officially closed until further notice, so anyone who drops anything in front of the gate is in fact littering,” the Minister warned.
Meanwhile, the plant remains open to receive plastic and card for recycling.
