There will be smiles on the faces of some children when the new school term begins.
That’s because they will receive much needed school supplies through the Family Care Support Group and compliments of the staff at the Office of the Attorney General and the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Speaking during the presentation to the Group at the HIV Food Bank today, Administrative Officer in the Office of the Attorney General, Cheryl Grogan, said the donation was made to assist children of persons living with HIV or AIDS and their significant other.
She explained that staff at the Office of the Attorney General and the Ministry of Home Affairs, and their departments, pooled resources to purchase school items and or give cash donations towards the cause.
President of the Family Care Support Group, Kedelyn Morgan, thanked the staff for their donation and noted that parents should receive the school items by next week.
The Group lends assistance to approximately 75 children between the ages of three and 16.
