Members of the public are encouraged to gather at the Church Village Green, Central Bank of Barbados, Spry Street, Bridgetown, on Saturday, March 9, for a pop-up health and variety fair.

Hosted by the Co-operatives Department of the Ministry of Energy and Business, in association with a number of health organisations, it will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

During the day, Women Entrepreneurs, Ujamaa, Pinnacle and Pig Farmers’ Co-operatives Society Limited will offer goods and services, including agricultural produce, plants, various types of jewellery, art and craft pieces, custom-made bags, clothing, and women’s accessories.

Officials of the Ministry of Energy will be available to share information on the Energy Smart Fund, which offers grant and loan funding to micro and small businesses hoping to retrofit their businesses with more energy efficient technology.             

There will be complimentary blood pressure testing and screening by the Diabetes and Hypertension Association of Barbados, while the Barbados Kidney Association and the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Barbados will give advice on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle and share information on their services.
