The Supreme Court of Barbados. (FP)

There will be no sittings at the Criminal Division of the Supreme Court of Barbados, including Criminal Courts 2, 2A, 3, 3A, 4, 4A, 5, and 5A, on Monday, September 9, and Tuesday, September 10.

Additionally, no hearings will take place at any magistrates’ courts across the island during this period. However, the offices of the respective magistrates’ courts and the other departments of the Registration Department will remain open.

These changes to the courts’ schedule are necessary to facilitate the attendance of the Judiciary, Magistracy, and the Registrar at a Workshop on the Draft Criminal Procedure Rules, 2024, in Barbados. This workshop will be held at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre.

The Registration Department apologises for any inconvenience these closures may cause.
