The Community Development Department is preparing to commence its Community Impact Programmes, and is, therefore, inviting interested persons to apply.

The Gall Hill Community Centre, St. John will be the stage for Drape Construction Classes, which will be held on Thursdays, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Persons may register for this programme by contacting the Centre at 433-2648.

Classes in Wig Making will be held at the Andrew Alleyne Community Centre, Bush Hall, St. Michael on Thursdays from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., while Basic Dress Making classes will also be held at that location on Mondays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Interested persons may sign up by calling 429-3466.

A number of programmes will also be hosted at the Eden Lodge Community Centre, St. Michael. These are: Barbering which will be held on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.; Bar Operation and Table Etiquette on Tuesdays from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.; and Beauty Therapy on Mondays from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

There will also be a session for retired persons, entitled: Golden Circle, which will be held on Mondays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. It will consist of a variety of developmental discussions, and participants will have an opportunity to share the company, experiences, knowledge and skills of other retired persons.

All Community Impact Programmes will run for 12 weeks.??
