Constitutional Reform Commission’s Lecture Postponed Until Next Year

The Constitutional Reform Commission (CRC) will host a public lecture on Wednesday, December 13, at the Henry Fraser Lecture Theatre, The University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, starting at 7.00 p.m.

The presenter will be William Stamps Farish Professor in Law, Professor of Government, and Director of Constitutional Studies at the University of Texas at Austin, USA, Richard Albert. He will speak on the topic The Grenade, the Hour Glass and the Sundial: The Lifetime of Constitutions.

Members of the public are encouraged to attend the lecture, and engage with the presenter on constitutional issues in which they may have an interest.

Professor Albert will be on a three-day visit to Barbados, during which time he will meet with the Constitutional Reform Commission.

Professor Albert has published over 25 books on constitutional democracy, including Constitutional Amendments: Making, Breaking, and Changing Constitutions (Oxford University Press).

He is Co-President of the International Society of Public Law, and founding director of the International Forum on the Future of Constitutionalism, which is a not-for-profit organization.
