The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory identified 431 new COVID-19 cases, 181 males and 250 females, from the 1,169 tests conducted on Wednesday, August 10.
The cases comprised 60 persons under the age of 18, and 371 who were 18 years and older.
There were 78 people in isolation facilities, while 4,016 were in home isolation.
As at August 10, there were 514 COVID-19-related deaths.
The public health laboratory has conducted 740, 217 tests since February 2020, and recorded 96,781 COVID-19 cases (43,809 males and 52,972 females). Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of persons with at least one dose is 163,029 (71.4 per cent of the eligible population). The total number of fully vaccinated persons is 154,139 (56.9 per cent of the total population or 67.5 per cent of the eligible population). The eligible population represents those persons who are 12 years and older.
