Barbados recorded 323 new COVID-19 cases, 131 males and 192 females, from the 926 tests carried out by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory on Thursday, August 11.
Of the positive cases, 51 persons were under the age of 18, and 272 were 18 years and older.
There were 75 people in isolation facilities, while 4,233 were in home isolation.
An 84-year-old woman passed away from the virus on Monday, August 8.
As at August 11, there were 515 COVID-19 related deaths.
The public health laboratory has conducted 741,143 tests since February 2020, and recorded 97,104 COVID-19 cases (43,940 males and 53,164 females).
Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of persons with at least one dose is 163,033 (71.4 per cent of the eligible population). The total number of fully vaccinated persons is 154,150 (56.9 per cent of the total population or 67.5 per cent of the eligible population). The eligible population represents those persons who are 12 years and older.
