The Ministry of Health and Wellness reported 148 new COVID-19 cases, 60 males and 88 females, from the 679 tests conducted on Monday, August 29, by laboratories across the island.
Of the positive cases, 20 persons were under the age of 18, and 128 were 18 years and older.
There were 80 people in isolation facilities, while 1,378 were in home isolation.
Two men, aged 78 and 79, died as a result of the virus on Monday.
As at August 29, there were 541 COVID-19 related deaths.
The laboratories conducted 754,506 tests since February 2020, and recorded 100,973 COVID-19 cases (45,649 males and 55,324 females).
Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of persons with at least one dose is 163,193 (71.4 per cent of the eligible population). The total number of fully vaccinated persons is 154,389 (57 per cent of the total population or 67.6 per cent of the eligible population). The eligible population represents those persons who are 12 years and older.
