There were 80 new COVID-19 cases, 34 males and 46 females, recorded from the 524 tests conducted on Monday, September 12, by laboratories across the island.
The cases comprised 16 persons under the age of 18, and 64 who were 18 years and older. The number of people in isolation facilities was 41, while 380 were in home isolation.
A 69-year-old man and a 96-year-old woman passed away from the virus on Monday. As at September 12, there were 558 COVID-19 related deaths.
The laboratories conducted 760,393 tests since February 2020, and recorded 101,979 COVID-19 cases (46,120 males and 55,859 females).
Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of persons with at least one dose is 163,454 (71.6 per cent of the eligible population).
The total number of fully vaccinated persons is 154,508 (57 per cent of the total population or 67.6 per cent of the eligible population). The eligible population represents those persons who are 12 years and older.
