A total of 51 new COVID-19 cases, 24 males and 27 females, were recorded from the 334 tests carried out on Wednesday, September 7, by laboratories across the island.
Of the positive cases, three persons were under the age of 18, and 48 were 18 years and older.
There were 51 people in isolation facilities, while 606 were in home isolation.
Three men, aged 87, 89 and 92, died as a result of the virus on Wednesday.
As at September 7, there were 556 COVID-19 related deaths.
The laboratories conducted 758,505 tests since February 2020, and recorded 101,747 COVID-19 cases (46,023 males and 55,724 females).
Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of persons with at least one dose is 163,365 (71.5 per cent of the eligible population). The total number of fully vaccinated persons is 154,473 (57 per cent of the total population or 67.6 per cent of the eligible population). The eligible population represents those persons who are 12 years and older.
