Officials of the Coastal Zone Management Unit (CZMU) are inviting stakeholders to come out and talk about environmental and social management plans for upcoming projects along the south and west coasts.

This conversation will take place on Sunday, October 15, at the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel, Hastings, Christ Church, and virtually via Microsoft Teams, from 4:30 p.m. The meeting ID is 293 898 555 919, passcode 73Vtca.

Persons may access information and documents ahead of the meeting via the link: https://coastal.gov.bb/climate-resilient-coastal-zon-management-programme/.

The meeting will focus on the Environmental and Social Assessment (ESA) and Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) on the south coast, namely St. Lawrence Gap to Rockley, Christ Church; and Oistins, Christ Church. It will also look at the west coast sites – Clinketts, St. Lucy; Sand Street, St Peter; and Road View (St. Peter’s Bay to Mullins), St. Peter.

The aim of the meeting is to bring attention to the proposed coastal development plan by presenting and discussing the project concept; review and share findings from the ESA and ESMP; and provide opportunities for stakeholders to share their views on the project.
