Persons interested in becoming facilitators for the Ministry of Energy and Business’ National Financial Literacy Programme, to be executed in several schools shortly, are reminded that they must submit applications by 4:30 p.m., this Friday, December 8.

This reminder has come from Chief Business Development Advisor in the Small Business Development Unit of the Ministry, Anderson Cumberbatch, who said applications, accompanied by a curriculum vitae or résumé and two recent testimonials, should be emailed to anderson.cumberbatch@barbados.gov.bb.

The National Financial Literacy Programme will be introduced in six primary and seven secondary public schools during Term two. Students will be taught critical money-related topics, such as earnings, spending, saving, budgeting, borrowing, investing, and debt management.

Mr. Cumberbatch explained that the programme aims to increase students’ financial literacy knowledge, so they are better equipped to make more informed, strategic, and wise financial decisions.
