The public is invited to learn more about the weather, climate and disaster risk reduction during an upcoming panel discussion to be hosted by the Barbados Meteorological Services (MET Office) and the Department of Emergency Management.

It takes place on Sunday, November 19, at Harrison College, Crumpton Street, Bridgetown, beginning at 4:00 p.m. Experts will also share tips on how persons can reduce the risk of loss of life and property during a flood event.

Panellists are Deputy Director at the DEM, Captain Robert Harewood; Senior Meteorologist Semelka Jackman; Ashley Lashley of The Ashley Lashley Foundation; Anton Belgrave of the Central Bank of Barbados; Roger Blackman, Barbados Light and Power Company; and Alex Ifill of the Barbados Water Authority. The moderator will be Senior Public Affairs Officer, Christal Austin.
