It takes place on Sunday, August 20, at Queen’s College, Husbands, St. James, beginning at 4:00 p.m.

The panel discussion aims to sensitise the public on the meteorological hazards associated with significant rainfall.  It is also expected to highlight the factors which can result in a location becoming flooded.

Experts will share tips on how persons can reduce the risk of loss of life and property during a flood event.

Panellists are: Senior Meteorologist Semelka Jackman, and Meteorologist Cherise Brathwaite of the MET Office; Station Officer with the Barbados Fire Service, Damian Bayne; and Senior Technical Officer in the Drainage Division at the Ministry of Transport, Works and Water Resources, Charles Yearwood.  The session will be moderated by Senior Public Affairs Officer, Christal Austin.
