Members of the public are invited to come out and give their input on policy and legislative proposals being put forward for the disabled during the first of three town hall meetings scheduled for this month.

It will be held tomorrow, Thursday, September 15, in the Hugh Springer Auditorium, Solidarity House, Barbados Workers’ Union, Harmony Hall, St. Michael, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Persons may also join the meeting by clicking here.

The event is being hosted by the Ministry of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs in collaboration with the Advisory Committee on Persons with Disabilities.

Minister of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs, Kirk Humphrey, is expected to deliver remarks during the opening of the meeting.

Town hall meetings are also slated for Wednesday, September 21, at the Ivan Harewood Centre, Christ Church Parish Church. Persons may also join virtually by clicking here.

The final meeting will be held on Thursday, September 29, at the Alexandra School, Queen’s Street, St. Peter. That meeting will also be streamed. All meetings begin at 6:30 p.m.
