The Ministry of Health has received a donation of 13 three-wheeled ambulances from the United Arab Emirates.

The donation was facilitated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Barbados.

The donors have sent two technicians to assist with the assembly and training of local maintenance technicians for the ambulances, which have the capacity to carry one operator in the front and an attendant and patient (on a stretcher) in the back.

Discussions are taking place among the various agencies in the Ministry of Health to determine the distribution and use of these ambulances.

The Ministry of Health has expressed its gratitude to the Government and people of the United Arab Emirates for this gift.
