Members of the public are invited to learn more about the earthquake and tsunami threats to the region by participating in a webinar on Friday, February 2, from 10:00 a.m.

Interested persons may join the Department of Emergency Management (DEM) and the University of the West Indies’ Seismic Research Unit (SRC) via the Zoom Meeting ID – 785 569 2110, and passcode 02022024.

The presenters will be Acting Director of the DEM, Captain Robert Harewood; Programme Officer at the DEM, Simon Alleyne; and Volcano-seismologist with the Montserrat Volcano Observatory, Roderick Stewart.

The webinar is designed to expose participants to the earthquake and tsunami threats in the region. It will also inform them about earthquake and tsunami preparedness and response, and suggest steps that could be taken during an impact.

The activity is also designed to introduce the Preparedness/Response/Recovery Plan and Adaptation Guide.
