The celebrations for Education Month will culminate in the early part of November with a Health and Movement Fair on Thursday, November 3, and a Lime/Open Mic, Karaoke session on Friday, November 4. Both events will be held at the Elsie Payne Complex, Constitution Road, St. Michael.

The Health and Movement Fair, which runs from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., will see the participation of staff/teachers from the Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training (METVT).

Meanwhile, the Lime/Open Mic, Karaoke on November 4, which begins at 4:00 p.m., will be enhanced by a lunchtime practice session in the quadrangle, where staff are expected to engage in drama as well as the telling of jokes.

Education Month 2022 is being held under the theme Promoting Quality Education Through Healthy Minds and Bodies.

In keeping with the theme and the Healthy Lifestyle Coalition Movement, the METVT is also encouraging persons at educational institutions to become physically active and to wear clothing to this effect.

To this end, staff members will continue to sport Ministry polo shirts on Friday, November 3, as they make movement a part of their activities.
